Neurofeedback Programs for First Responders & their Families

How Our Program Works

The following is our roadmap for delivering NeurOptimal® neurofeedback services to First Responder communities across the United States.

As a part of our nonprofit status (in review with the IRS), we provide strategic overview and management of the pursuit of local and national grants, identify and qualify trainers, review incoming department requests, and “match” Trainers to First Responder departments.

As a part of our delivery of neurofeedback services, we provide program planning, customization, delivery of neurofeedback and reporting to departments and grant funders.

- 1 -

Grant Pursuits

Identify and pursue grants focused on mental health and care of First Responders.

- 2 -

Trainer Identification and Training

Evaluate Trainer qualifications.

Train to FRN standards of delivery and reporting of neurofeedback sessions.

- 3 -

Receive First Responder Grant Requests

Receive and evaluate neurofeedback requests from First Responder organizations.

- 4 -

Match Trainers to Departments

Match Trainers to departments.

Lead the preliminary engagement and discuss the process of neurofeedback delivery and reporting.

- 5 -

Program Planning

Conduct pre-session planning with department leadership and human resources to introduce neurofeedback services.

Establish metrics for tracking progress, such as anonymized participant feedback and departmental reporting.

- 6 -

Program Customization

Conduct baseline intakes with department employees.

Customize the neurofeedback plan for each employee (number, frequency, and duration) based on schedules and individual goals.

- 7 -

Delivery of Neurofeedback Sessions

Provide a schedule of sessions that is coordinated with schedules and responsibilities.

Set up neurofeedback services on-site (at the department) or at a nearby facility for privacy.

- 8 -

Monitor, Evaluate & Report

Conduct regular assessments, gathering both qualitative feedback from participants and quantitative data on stress levels, mood changes, and job performance metrics.

Report to departments and grant funders.
